Get Involved
Be a Part of WWRM!
It pays to get involved with WWRM. Literally! Not only will you gain valuable experience with a communications medium, learn to use a variety of equipment, and express yourself via globally broadcast internet radio, you will also have the opportunity to earn some money. The DJ(s) of the Month Program awards a cash prize to the DJs whose show had the most listeners. And Party DJs earn between $25 and $50 per hour. Is there any reason not to get involved with WWRM?
Randolph College students and community members can get involved with WWRM in a variety of ways. WWRM, The Worm is the coolest extra-curricular on campus. The radio station both provides a unique creative outlet and showcases the diverse talents of the Randolph College community.
Radio Show DJs
Any Randolph College student, faculty, or staff member may host her/his own radio show. DJs have full creative license with their censorship free shows. WWRM DJs say what they want to say and play what they want to play! WWRM seeks DJs to host music, talk, and eclectic shows. Up to three DJs may share a show. Weekly shows can be as short as 1/2 hour and as long as 2 hours. All DJs are required to attend a training session with the Chief Engineer or Station Manager. There are several scheduled open training sessions that DJs can attend, or individual training sessions can be scheduled. Email sekreiger@randolphcollege.edu to sign up for a time slot. New shows can be added to the schedule any time throughout the year.

Board Members
The WWRM Station Board is the team of students responsible for managing, operating, and promoting WWRM, The Worm. Students of all class years may join the Board. New officers are elected each year. Officers on the Board include:

Party DJs
Thanks to the purchase of a portable DJ sound system, WWRM is happy to offer the Randolph College community a quality Party DJ service in addition to awesome radio programming. Party DJs take the sound system to on-campus events and may earn up $50 an hour. Because WWRM is first and foremost a radio station, students must first be involved with and contribute to the success of the radio station in order to be eligible for Party DJ training. Aspiring Party DJs are required to attend a training session, fill out an application, and sign a contract. To be booked for a job, Party DJs must meet the following expectations:
Must be a Radio Show DJ who 1. has broadcast at three out of the four past scheduled shows, 2. agrees to serve as a party sponsor when WWRM hosts on-campus events, and 3. participates in Station promotions when asked by the Board.
Must be a Station Board Member who 1. has attended three out of the four past scheduled board meetings, 2. consistently fulfills the responsibilities associated with her/his office on the Board, and 3. agrees to serve as a party sponsor when WWRM hosts on-campus events.
